acupuncture for neck and head pain in providence, ri

1. What is Alchemical Acupuncture?
Alchemical Acupuncture is the process of transformation.  The symptoms, hardships and pain are invitations to go inward. With the help of needles, moxibustion, embodied practices and deep listening a safe container is created for healing to occur.  You can read more about Alchemical Acupuncture here.
2. How is your approach different from other acupuncturists?
My approach aims to create a language for the soul.  It reaches beyond the symptoms. It helps connect to the client’s authentic nature, the heart’s desire and opening up the inner sight (inner knowing).
3. What kinds of issues can you help with?
Clients see me for headaches, chronic pain, stress, anxiety, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, sinus and respiratory imbalances, allergies, fatigue, sleep issues, focus and that subtle sense that “something’s missing”.  And more often than not these initial reasons for coming in are just portals into something new and unknown that has been waiting to be discovered.
4. What can I expect at my first session?
Your first session begins with a thorough conversation about your health history, concerns, and goals. You will receive an acupuncture treatment based on what we discuss including the use of needles, essential oils and moxibustion.
5. Is acupuncture painful?
Most people find acupuncture very relaxing. The needles are hair-thin and often produce only a mild sensation, sometimes a dull ache, warmth, a heavy sensation or tingling. Many clients even fall asleep during treatment!
6. How many sessions will I need?
Acupuncture is not a one time fix! The amount of sessions  depends on your goals and the nature behind your symptoms. Acupuncture has a cumulative effect, meaning that each session adds on the previous one.  Some clients notice improvements quickly, while others benefit from regular sessions to support long-term transformation. We will develop a plan that feels right for you.
7. Do you offer free consultations?
Yes! I offer free 15-minute consultations so we can talk about your needs, answer questions, and see if we’re a good fit to work together.
8. Can acupuncture help with stress and anxiety?
Absolutely. Acupuncture can help regulate the nervous system, influence mood, improve sleep, and help you feel more grounded and at ease in your body.
9. What should I wear or bring to my appointment?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows access to your arms and legs and abdomen. Eat something small an hour or so before your session.  Bring any questions, an open mind, and a willingness to explore the unknown.
10. Where do I park and where is the entrance?
There is free street parking on Bridge St, South Water St and Tockwotton St.  The entrance is under the archway on 105 Wickenden St. My suite is the first door on the left.
